Apple is often held to a high standard in terms of design and trendsetting. In the ‘80s, however, Apple wasn’t impervious to the outrageous styles of the time. The Internet has been blowing up recently with images of a clothing line Apple released in 1986 called “The Apple Collection.”
From oversized sweatshirts and padded vests to brightly colored fabric belts and T-shirts with wacky, could-only-have-been-produced-in-the-eighties Apple lettering (you’ll see what we mean), The Apple Collection had it all. There was even a kids line, for all of those premature Apple fanatics.
So don't worry about that photo of you wearing brightly colored biker shorts and jelly shoes; Apple indulged in the wild fashion of the '80s, too.
