Motorola Whipser Review: Best Executive-Grade Headset
Posted on Jan 6th 2014
If you’re looking for a high-end, executive grade Bluetooth headset with stunning sound quality, the new Motorola Whisper is the best on the market. After extensive testing, the CAFL Web Team found the Whisper to be one of the best headsets we’ve used, and well worth the high-end price tag.
Web Team Rating:
Why We Love It: Callers reported that calls sounded clearer when using the Whisper compared to a smartphone alone. The sleek design feels well-made and is comfortable enough to wear all day.
Comfort / Design: The Motorola Whisper is sleek and lightweight, which makes it very comfortable for all day wearing. Five unique eargel cushions and two earhooks are included so you can find the perfect fit for your ear. The design features a high-end brushed metal finish that looks stylish and feels durable. The best design aspect of this headset is the retractable boom mic – simply pull it out when you want to use the headset and you’re ready to go.
Features: The Motorola Whisper is packed with all of the features you’ve come to expect in a Bluetooth headset – plus more. With wideband HD audio, multipoint pairing (to connect to multiple devices at once) and long range Bluetooth connectivity (with compatible devices), this headset stands apart from others on the market. A function button activates Siri or Google Voice on your smartphone to make a call, send a text, get directions, and more. This also helps keep you safe and compliant with hands-free driving laws that prohibit drivers from touching their phones in many states.
Ease of Use: Setting this headset up was quick and simple, with voice prompts that led the way. Once the pairing was complete, buttons on the headset allow you to easily adjust volume, answer or end calls, and more. You can also use your voice to take a call by saying “Answer” or “Ignore.”
Sound Quality: The Whisper has a whopping four mic design that gives this headset exceptional sound quality. Most high-end headsets currently available offer three microphones, but the addition of a fourth in the Whisper makes a significant and notable difference. Callers reported excellent sound and clarity while driving as well as in noisy environments like a busy restaurant. In our testing we even preferred the sound quality while using the Whisper to the sound quality when using the phone alone.
Overall: We highly recommend the Bluetooth Whisper to those looking for a high-end, executive-grade headset. While the price on this device is significantly higher than many other options available, it offers a level of quality and features to match.
