Anthro Charging Carts: Your Tablet Management Solution

Managing an army of tablets for your employer is no small feat. The fleet needs to be secured at night to prevent theft or data leaks and should be fully charged the next morning, ready for the multitude of users who rely on the tablets to do their jobs. Securing, storing and charging all of these tablets in an organized fashion is nearly impossible without the right equipment.

Fortunately, technology furniture company Anthro manufactures lockable mobile carts with small footprints specifically for use with tablets. Each tablet has its own numbered bay with a convenient clip for the charging cable to keep everything neat and organized. The charging cables are threaded through a panel in the back to a separate, lockable IT area, where power cords can be managed.

Each cart holds from 30 to 40 tablets (depending on your device and storage needs) but takes up only 2 square feet of space. Vertically, the cart reaches about 4 feet, the perfect height to be used as a stand for AV presentation equipment.

The Anthro Locking Mobile Charging Carts come in four variations:

• A 40-unit cart which holds naked iPads in landscape mode allows you to make the most of the space available
• A 32-unit cart with roomier bays, designed for iPads with bulky cases
• A 32-unit cart with wired sync includes a USB connection from iPad to computer
• A 30-unit cart for Android tablets in portrait mode

For the iPad carts without wired sync, Anthro recommends each charging cart have its own Sync Kit, which is capable of syncing 10 Lightning or 30-pin iPads with a laptop at a time. Each cart includes a small storage area at the top for a laptop.
